5 Exercises That Will Strengthen Your Attention And Brain.
1. Make a distraction to-do list.
Because the internet has made every bit of information instantly accessible, we tend to want to look at something as it crosses our minds. “I want to know what the weather will be like tomorrow?” “In what year did the movie come out?” “I want to know what’s new on the Facebook feed?”
As a result, we will move away from what we do. one of these instant questions or thoughts pops into our minds. The problem is, once we are distracted, it takes an average of 25 (!) Minutes to get back to our original task. Plus, turning his attention back and forth to drain the brain power.
So to stay on task, every time something you want to check appears in your head, just write it down on a piece of paper next to you (or maybe in Evernote for your type of technology), and promise yourself you will be able to look after the session focus over and breaks you have arrived.
2. Switch Hands
If you are right-handed, try using your left hand to do things such as brushing teeth, eating, and using your computer mouse. Using the results of your non-dominant hand increases brain activity. It can be very difficult at first which is why it gives your brain a good workout.
Meditation holds importance with reference to train your subconscious mind. Inspired by a new belief, think about new ideas, and learn to believe in yourself. Meditation will help you achieve the desired level of mental focus and concentration so that you can gain cognitive powers.
It also allows you to enjoy this moment when planning for the future.
4. Take New Route
On a routine trip, your brain is on autopilot and got very little stimulation.
But taking a foreign route activates the cortex and hippocampus.
It has been said that Bill Gates will drive a different route on the way home from work every day to stimulate the brain, and see where that got him!
You can also take a new route when walking, biking or taking public transit.
5. Turn Off Technology
An obvious way to do things the hard way is to stop relying on technology. Use your brain instead of your smartphone for basic mental skills such as spelling and math. Try impressing your friends by memorizing their phone numbers.
Turn off the GPS and learn to read a map and use your innate sense of direction to find your way around instead.
